Thanks for checking in and thanks for your support. I’ve done a couple of youtube videos like that. I may do a video someday like that that covers a lot more.

I don’t have any recommendations for making trainers, but there are plenty of great knifemaking books out ther:

- Step by Step Knifemaking – David Boye
- How to make knives – Bob Loveless
- How to make folding knives – Ron Lake
- The hand forged knife – Karl Schroen
- The craft of the Japanese sword – Yoshindo Yoshihara
- Custom Knifemaking – Tim McCreight
- The complete bladesmith – Jim Hrisoulas

…just to name a few.

Hi TJ,

They do make a sound when they hit. It is not going to have as high a pitch or the echo of steel. It is a little lower and more muffled sound. You definitely know they are metal. Our swords are frequently used for stage productions. They should serve you well, and will definitely be safer than steel.

How do they sound? We are thinking of using swords like this in a staged combat show and i was wondering if they ring or clunk when they hit each other. Anyone have any ideas or experience with that?

All the tricks and things you learned on the way. If you have a list of recommended DVDs or books on this subject I

Ordering via website can seem like such a hassle sometimes. I saw that ordering from this website meant that it might take from 2-6 weeks depending on the workload. I decided to call the number provided expecting to reach some automated service but I got a real human being on the other end!

Much to my surprise, Bob was able to work with my needs an he told me that he would get my knife to me as soon as possible. Service like that just can’t be beat.

Do you supply the u.k, we have a current sword ban but don’t know if this will effect your blades, any info would be cool, cheers Nicky.
